Hello, I'm Louise Challis and I have been a proud employee of the education department for over 25 years. As the principal of Hampden Park Public School, I am dedicated to fostering an environment where student learning and wellbeing are our central focus.
Our staff are exceptional teachers and leaders who are committed to helping our students succeed academically and socially. Our teaching staff lead a range of extra curricular activities to increase students’ sense of belonging and help them build friendship skills. The office staff in our school are always ready to assist with parent enquiries and offer support.
Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds and we seek to nurture a connection to home languages through our Community Language programs alongside specialist expertise in teaching English as an additional language. We have specialist teachers and support staff who provide additional support to students with additional learning needs.
We are always eager to strengthen our ties with the local community. We work with local early childhood centres to assist with Kindergarten transition for our youngest students. We are also committed to ensuring students leave Year 6 ready to thrive in high school. We value parent connections and want our parents to feel welcome in our school and to have the opportunity to be a partner with us in their child’s education.
It is a great honour to work with and serve the Hampden Park community. Together, we are creating a bright future for our students.
